How to load speed cameras & alert on tomtom one v2

Postby fernr001 » Sat Aug 14, 2010 6:37 pm

Here is my current configuration

DeviceName=TomTom ONE
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v4)
BootLoaderVersion=55128
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9101
ApplicationVersion=516023.2
CurrentMap=UK_&_ROI_850.2781
CurrentMapVerison=850.2781

I would appreciate on any help on how to load Speed cameras with alerts on the above device,
I have downloaded the speedcam and extracted the radars.rar to the UK map folder but nothing seems to happen when passing a speed camera on the road?
Could someone give some advise on this thanks in advance.
Also having problems trying to extract the TT Keygen TTK20094.Id.rar keeps coming with file infected tried ignoring downloads ok
but when trying to extract comes with missing shortcut please advise.
Thanks

  • Ok Download the latest speedcam files , I have attached the latest
  • You can only use Premium cams or normall cams not both together so copy the 2 files to your map directory i reccomend Premium cams
    ( Safety_Cam_UK_PremiumOv2.ver + Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2 )
  • Now Download AutoActivate from http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2330-AutoActivate-11.08.2010
  • Copy AutoActivate.exe to your root directory and run.
  • Done

I have done exactly what was suggested copied the speedcams to the map folder
and ran autoactivate checked the show POI on map which was ticked, and warn when near POI the UK
Safety Cam UK Premium was also ticked and all looked well.
When tested on a long drive 30miles did not come up with any warning sign or alert, looks
like DJC comments above was right, any suggestion please.
Thanks

Are you using a config folder if so make shure you have "bton" in your setconfig.txt and no "btoff" you should then see the speedcams menu

Confirm that you have set up the warnings in Main Menu, TomTom Services, Safety Alerts, Change warning preferences.

Hi

As suggested above when you tap Tomtom Services it comes up with the Safety Alerts, but when tapped it comes with you can
join this service and download camera and OK, it does not come up with change warning preferences.
In the meantime I have downloaded the Speedcam data from SCDB which uses POI to set up the alerts
for the different cameras, redlights etc which when tested works OK.
I would still like if possible to use the above, any suggestions please.
Thanks

This is indecating that you have not patchd the cams, please download and run AutoActivate from the root directory of your device ;)

Hi,
Please check my previous reply, I did exactly as suggested, the patch cams was run by the autoactivate
from the root directory. As previously mentioned did NOT detect any cameras on my short trip to Burbage
which is about 15 miles from Leicester as we had to attend a birthday party.
Any further suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks

Please confirm you are only using 1 type of cams, normall or premium, you can not use both together.

Confirm that your UK map folder has an ov2.dct file for the UK speed cam.

Hi I can confirm that I am using only one of the cams file in my case the Premium, the Fastactivate I am
using is the Premium ED v1.4, I have just retried the whole process again just in case.
In answer to the other question I cant see any ov2.dct file, the only dct file is the meta one, I have done
a search and there is no other, when would this file appear?
Thanks

That file will appear only after the speed cams are patched.
