I've downloaded new WesternEurope and CanadaAlaska maps both with same Meta ref.
Can't remember how I did it last time a few years ago. Using my USB to TT and opened TT file on Laptop. Backed up my old Config just incase things go wrong and I can put it all back.
With the file on the TT expanded showing all the files and old map. I deleted the old map and then transferred the new maps in place of the old map. Each map has a meta file, also theres a meta file in the main file listing.
Ran Fastactiveate with my AntiVirus turned off as it will block, Firstly tried to update the current Meta which is dated 05/07/2011 although updated the date stays the same. Then updated the maps, speedcams and POI.
But although TT will run and show the 2 maps and I can choose either, with a message I cannot run these Maps etc.
Where am I going wrong.
Thanks

1. I don't know what you are referring to, but these two maps don't have the same meta.
2. Ok.
3. In their own seperate folders of course.
4. Your copy of FA is way out of date. Version 1.8.8.5 is current with an up to date meta file.
5. Not good!!
6. Either your navcore or the maps are not patched.

All done and working complete with my old favourites.
WesternEurope 2G 885.4009 and CanadaAlaska 885.4087, both have same Meta 512.
I used my old version of FA, downloaded the latest version.
All is OK.
thanks

Thanx for the update.
Close to half of the 885 maps have the meta 512 designation. It is irrelevant.

Ok,
Although TT is ok. When first started TT I had a choice of 2 maps to choose from WesternEurope or CanadaAlaska, but now it only starts with WesternEurope at where ever I am also when using TT Home and look for speedcam updates for Canada, none are listed.

1. On the first boot after adding maps, TT will always ask which map you want to start with. It becomes the default map until you change it.
2. TT Home page 1, "Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc", Safety Cameras.

I did go through TT Home page 1 "Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc", Safety Cameras." with no results.
thanks

In the upper right corner of the Safety Cameras window, did you change "View" from Recommended to ALL?
There isn't a Canada file. The file is titled "USA, CAN".
The cameras are always available here:

Ok thanks,
I'll give it a try.
As for having 2 maps on one SD card, I was under the understanding by having 2 maps that I could select which map I want to use on each start-up. From what you are saying I take it I have to have a SD card for each map I might want to use.
Thanks again

1. Nope, a SD card is not necessary for each map. On the first boot after adding maps, TT will always ask which map you want to start with. It becomes the default map until you change it. To do so, go: Main Menu, Change preferences, Switch map.
