trying to do this on my xl with 8508271 uk maps and 9053 navcore on

everytime i try to prepare route from a to b when i select the depart from at a point on the map it just locks up and eventually reboots

it does the same if i try to plan a route from my favorites

anyone else had this before ?

Ok i have seen this problem before with 9.053, try running the tomtom clear flash tool (Find it in my sig) (You may need to run it up to 3 times to see a result)
If this does not work change to navcore 9.026 or 9.103 , then your issue should be solved

well i think i have solved it went into operate my xl in tom tom home and it let me plan a route no problem

when i came out of TT home and tried it on the device it worked ok so it seems ok

just on the clear flash tool, will this wipe the device of all files or just clear old files?

Ok good news, if you get the problem again try the tomtom clear flash tool, you will not loose any files or settings by using this tool.
