Large maps on 750

Postby oldfella » Thu Jul 07, 2011 10:50 am

My One original died today. Managed to pick up a Go 750 and trying to put my old maps onto the 750. If I put the maps onto the SD card (4G) Fastactivate does not work, it apparently only looks at the root directory.
My Western Europe map is over 2G so will not fit in the root directory. What is the answer?

Run FastActivate from the root of the 4Gb SDHC card.

Install the map in the SDHC card.

The problem is that if I put the maps on the 4 G card, Fast Activate does not look at the 4G card when operated from the root directory. If I operate Fast Activate from the 4 G card it does not access the root directory to complete the task.
Which ever way I do things I can not either instal or activate the large map. Smaller maps on the root directory are OK, it is only the activation of the large map on the SD card

Copy paste everything from the internal memory (except the old map folder) onto the card. Install the new map onto the card and run FastActivate from the card as well.

1. Put the map, FastActivate & a copy of the 750's ttgo.bif file on the card. run FastActivate.
2. See step 1.
3. Confirm that you have either patched or are using a pre-patched navcore.
