What kind of SD card are you using?

Is it a slow class 4 or a high speed class 10 card?

It seems to be booting up faster now since I've switched it on and off a few times and it flows nicely through the menus...

However, I have a couple of questions....

The first one is a big one...

Where in the menu is vehicle profile ?

I have been using it as a car sat nav all weekend to see what it's like on routing, etc,etc, and I can't change it back to truck unless I take ad card out and then put it back in, then it will ask what vehicle I'm driving...

2nd question is, is it possible to pull all the old voices off my old truck sd card as I have no tts voices ? I also had quite a few novelty voices as well, what folder would these be in on my old truck sd card ? I managed to pull all my favs off my old ad card by copying the file that a read in a tutorial...

Minor question about routing...

How can I stop it asking me to do u-turns all the time if I miss a turn, I just want it to re-route me instead, this was never a problem before with my old map and navcore !

Apart from that it's running fine lol

Change preferences > Planning preferences > Edit vehicle profile

Your voices are in a folder called 'voices' in your backup

If you can,t find the vehicle profile then use another truck navcore.

Hi folks. I’ve been looking through the threads for this map hoping to find someone with the same issue as me.

I have a GO720 with the 9.70x truck navcore. The current map runs fine, but when I try this new one the unit just goes into a reboot cycle.

I’m not sure what I may be doing wrong, but it’s fine when I revert back.

The only thing I can think of is that I’m using easy activate to patch the map.

Any advise or help appreciated.

First thing first have you found the vehicle profile ?

Copy the content from the old folder loquendoTTS to the new folder.

Also managed to get my old voices onto my new sd card by copying the voices folder off my sd card, only problem is I can't see and select my old snoop dog voice anymore ?

If you didn't already, update Fastactivate and you'll get even more voice codes

Yeah, thanks for that, will give it a try !

What part of the program is responsible for routing, as the re-routing is a absolute joke compared to my old 8.398 navcore and whatever map that came with it 6 years ago...if it's the navcore that does the routing, I may try another navcore to see if that's any better...if it the map, then I will have to put up with it asking me to do numerous u-turns on the same road for 4 or 5 miles, when in some cases it would be far easier just to be re-routed along the road I'm already on !

I don't know which Navcore you're using now, I think the map is most important for the route
But just try another Navcore if you like or wait and see how this map will guide you

Could someone please suggest another truck navcore to use, im currently using 9.701, as it will not let me select truck profile unless i take SD card out, switch unit on and off then put SD card back in after i have been using it as a car satnav !
