Hi can anyone give some advice please. My device has rebooted itself and is now stuck on the Afrikaans language screen at the new install screen. It was working before with uk map etc, I haven’t updated anything, now it won’t let me go any further. I formatted and copied my back up to the SD card, but it still won’t work. Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks.

Thanks for the response. It is an older Go Live 750 with patched maps, would that work as I only use TT Home normally?
Would it help if I replaced the boot loader or clear flash, sorry bit of a newbie....

My DriveConnect is only for newer devices not for the 750.
Don,t tell me you are a bit of a newbie. You are a member since 2010.
Give the next procedure a try

[Please Register or Login to download file] --
1) Make a backup of your Device and delete the content.
--
2) Unpack the* navcore (winrar ) and place folders and files on your Device.
--
3) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"
--
4) Copie the chosen map to your Device in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
How to read the chart.

Many thanks for the comprehensive answer, I will try later. When I said I was a newbie, I meant that I didn’t have much of an idea of what to do rather than a new member. Apologies.

unfortunately it didnt work. It still goes directly to the language page and then to Afrikaans and it wont go any further than that. Any suggestions?

Can't you just scroll down on the language bar on the RHS to which you want?

it wont allow me to do that. I have tried, could it be a problem with the screen?

Is there anyway to bypass that bit?

How about connecting to TTHome then "Operate my Go" and setting language from there which should then automatically be saved in the mapsettings.cfg file on the device?

Good idea, will give it a go. Thanks.

Nope, does work as Home wont allow me to as the TT isnt supported anymore. is there a master reset on the device

Reset hold the start button down till the 750 restart again (when you hear the drums)
I don,t know how to bypass.
I have just installed the navcore on my 750 and I don,t got that screen.
I suppose you start the 750 without an SD card.
What you can try is format the 750 Fat32 slow.
After that connect the 750 with TomTom Home.
Now you automatically got the latest update (navcore).
Install and after the procedure look if the 750 start without the language screen.
If you don,t
got that screen anymore patched the navcore (FastAktivate 3) wait till
you got the message Ok system patched. After that following the procedure
described earlier ( from point 3).

There's also the "Factory Reset" option in the menu (don't remember where) plus a work-around for TTHome:-
