XL Live with 3 months live services left. New map?

Postby roydrage » Fri Dec 02, 2011 8:19 pm

I commandeered my missus XL Live, it has about 90 days of subscription to run. The UK & ROI map is 840, I fancy loading the 880.3810. If i patch the navcore will the live services still function? I have searched but cannot find an answer.

Use Windows Explorer to make a copy and paste backup of this current setup. Replace the 840 map folder with the 880 map folder. Patch the navcore & new map. If all works, super. If not, replace the patched 9.058 ttsystem file with the un-patched one in the backup. Replace the 880 map folder with the 840 map folder. In 90 days, out with the un-patched ttsystem file, in with the patched one. Out with the 840 map, in with the 880 map

Sound advice. Copying done, I will give it a spin when I get back from a few scoops! The traffic can be a bit hit and miss but in my local city its not bad at all. I have been using the google search quite a lot as the info on our works database regarding addresses is garbage. Whether its worth 50 a year, well I will decide in 3 months. The missus never used it, she doesnt really know how to.:scratch_one-s_head_
