I read the forums a bit, but am lost with all the bootloader and navcore talk.....anyways, I did find the TomTom Tool which gave me teh following:

As of now, it's "completely stock" - but TomTom Home 2.8.2.2264 says I need map updates.

So, where do I start?

Edit: will say, I'm only really interested in the U.S. maps, don't need all of North America, at least not yet ;) And my XL has the integrated memory, no SD card expansion.

TomTom XL with IQ Routes states I need map updates, and currently says I have loaded 860.3121 when I used the TomTom Config report tool from the forums...are the map updates incremenetal?

I referenced the image at i51.tinypic.com/34soys5.jpg and the 3121 map does have IQ Routes, and HNR (what is that?) but how do I determine which map to update to?

If they are indeed incremental (I.e.: 3124 is "newer" than the 3122 that I have?) it appears if I want to keep IQ Routes, the most recent update I can use is the 860.3124? But then how do I determine which navcore I have installed, and which navcore will work for these maps?

1. No, not at Navitotal
2. By referencing the chart in post 1 of the map threads.
3. The first 3 digits of a map indicate the EDITION. 875 is the current one. The last 4 digits indicate the VERSION of that edition. ALL versions of an edition are released at the same time.
4. Nope, you want North America 2GB 875.3613 or for no Canada United States 2GB 875.3613.
5. Line 5 of your ttgo.bif is your navcore. Keep it.
