au map 845.2662

just want to know is there any way to tell TT to stay on main highways ,we have just come back and wanted to stay on highways but TT told us to use some other road and seeing we dd not know the area we took it ,it may have been shorter but hell it was not faster ,on way back i changed to fastest rout but it still wanted to take us down same road ,not a good thing when pulling a caravan ,is there a settings or is it look at maps first and use TT as a backup for city driving
many thanks

Have you lookd through the diffrent options in "Find Alternative" you can choose to avoid diffrent parts of the route or travel via a certain place/road , does this help ? You can choose to avoid highways but not stay on them

try this change preferences menu 3 planning preferences, have you checked "always plan fastest route"

Sometimes the fastest route is not always the highway/motorway ;)

i agree, but if in preferences "always plan shortest route " is checked, that could be why? check the basic's first then move on to a solution
sry missed the bit in first post " i changed to fastest rout but it still wanted to take us down same road "

doh
