Make maps fit

Postby nolugev » Fri Jul 26, 2019 10:36 am

I have the problem that the maps I need are bigger than the free space on the navigator. Any way to make them smaller?

Delete order: on your own risk
1.
antitheftw.bmp lowbatteryw.bmp splashw.bmp suspendw.bmp
2.
splash.ogg suspend.ogg
3.
Remove FastTools.exe and meta.txt after activation.
4.
Do not activate Mapshare.
5.
Delete folder. \ ASR
6.
Delete folder. \ Art (you can no longer change the pointer)
7.
Delete folder. \ LoquendoTTS
8.
Delete folder. \ X-screen
9.
Unnecessary voices from the. \ Voices folder
10.
Delete folder. \! ReadMe
11.
No RDS / TMC / IQ needed, delete "tmccodes.dat" and "traffic.dat" in your map folder (~ 5Mb?)
12.
Great-Britain.postal.ver and Great-BritainPostal.ver from the zip ~ 8.75Mb folder (navigating to the postcode in England is no longer possible)
13.
Backup-TT_Vista.exe Backup-TT_W7.exe Backup-TT_XP.exe PACLIB.dll PACOMP.dll
Delete all these files.
14.
GetMy-CFG.exe GetMy-CFG.txt
Delete these files.
15.
With TomTom without a microphone you can delete the cspeech files (if you have a map with cspeech files at least). This quickly saves around 100 MB, depending on the card.

NOTE: You could possibly delete the. \ Helpme folder ~ 3.17Mb. . . (not handy if you need a doctor or hospital on the way).
