map 910-4892

i downloaded this map, got to the navitotal.com install page put password in, chose the destination file, and right at the end i got a error message archive is either unknown or damaged, as anyone else had this problem, if so how do you go about rectifying?

I don't think there is anyone with this problem, because all other users download maps that also have a name ;)
How would anyone know what you are talking about without name and link?

The UK/IR map works just fine.
If it does not unpack correctly I suspect a corrupted download.
Re-Downloading the file(s) that give you an error in Winrar should solve the problem.
In case you have a general downloading problem I suggest to use Jdownload, simply copy the link into the clipboard and JD takes over.

ive tried loading uk-roi 910-4952 on t my sat nav, i placed it in the root directory, but when turning on it says the map cannot be used with this satnav its a go530.

i have also tried running fastactivate it allows me to patch the satnav but does not do any meta codes, just says downloading meta.txt and nothing happens.

could you give me a map of uk & roi that will work with this satnav

the meta file is in the map folder.
There is no meta issues with this map, using the latest fast activate.
Just a thought, make sure your map folder is not contained inside any other folder, as when you first use winrar to unzip your download the map folder is inside another folder.

1. For your 530, you want the full featured 910.4892, not the zero featured 910.4952.

2. Put Fastactivate & a copy of your 530's ttgo.bif file in the unzipped 4892 folder. Run the map patcher option, then check for a .meta.dct file in the folder to confirm that the map is now patched..

according to posts 1&3 he's already tried the full featured 4892 maps with no luck.
I would agree, with a 530 these are the maps that would be best for him.

Yep & in post 5, he had tried 4952. Post 8 advises him that of the 2 versions that he has tried, 4892 is the correct version for his 530 with navcore 9.510.
stressedred has a simple patching problem. There is no problem with his 530, navcore 9.510 or the 910.4892 map.

1 quick ? in my tom tom cfg file there is a nfo file, when i try to open this it says it is corrupt or unrecognised, could this have anything to do with it?

If in doubt do a clean install of everything onto an empty device ;)

anyone got a good link to jdownloader, ive tried cnet downloads version loaded it up then it dissapears from the desktop.

also im still trying to download the uk-roi 910-4892 maps but get a error halfway through

I have no clue what and where you try to download, but the official download for JD are fine.
And an acces denied for the map files is a bit weird...

Get to the installing screen uk-roi 910-4892 installation of part 1 is complete asks for part 2 i tell it the location, i then get message archive is unknown format or damaged

i cant seem to extract the files from the rar file 857649109 on my desktop i just get unknown format or damaged
