Where are you reading this error ?....on the 930 screen or from a patching tool ?

If on the 930 screen,

If you read the error " map not found on this device " then the navcore is not patched.

If you read " you can not use this map on this device " then the map is not patched.

Yep, you are missing the fact that the North America 885.4087 meta code is not posted, but the North America 2GB 885.4087 meta code is posted.

The North America and the North America 2 GB are more or less the same " Map ".

The real difference is the POI file....the North America map has the better/larger POI.

Since you already have the North America map....Copy the POI file from it.

Download and install the North America 2GB map....and drop in the larger POI file from the North America map.

This will get you up and running.

Then if the North America meta shows up you can install that map if you wanted.

2GB 4087 = 4.2 Mill POIs

full 4087 = 7.0 Mill POIs

@ tendriver

While we're kind-of on the subject.

The only other file that differs between these two maps is the " faces.dat "

North America ( full ) 154,122 KB

North America 2GB 161,340 KB

Do you happen to know exactly what this file does ?

I've read it has to do with showing more detail....curves look smoother, showing rivers, lakes, that sort of thing.

But, the faces.dat is " larger " in the 2GB than the full.

Kind-of strange if that is what it really does.

It's been like this in the last few map releases.

To my knowledge the faces.dat contains info about the landscape - rivers, lakes, industrial areas and some additional info for ALG maps.

If that's the case....would it be safe to assume the 2GB map is the better map ( as far as details/graphics ) ?

And than a really better map with the larger/full POI file added ?

It's strange the 2GB map has the larger Faces.dat file.

Due yourself a favor & don't try to out guess TT or anything they do. you'll end up in a rubber walled room. Instead put NA on a card & NA 2GB on your internal. Compare them till your heart's content, & you won't fine a nickels worth of difference.

The maps folder name is "North_America_2GB_885_4087".
No maps found error is on the TT device. Everything is on the IM. I have patched the nav and I also see the 512.dct file teh maps folder.

1. It would have saved several people a lot of time & effort, if this had been in post 1 !!!

2. Your 9.401 navcore is not patched. What tool are you using for the navcore patch?
