Map not working - need urgent help, need to use it ASAP

Sat Aug 31, 2013 6:32 pm

I've used the fastactivate.exe, I pushed the buttons to update map, meta and navcore. I have been sitting here for 6 hours confused and I give up now after searching through many threads, I could not find an answer. I checked that the meta was updated and it is indeed, the navcore version seems good as other people with it have had it work from what I searched and when I do patch map it seems to work showing all the filenames for gas prices, maps, speed cameras etc with => .dct OK after.

The error I get:

"Problem with map you cannot use this map on this device: europe_Truck-525"

This is with the 885 maps, I've tried with the newer 910 maps but I get the same error just different number obviously.

My info:

ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom GO 530
DeviceVersionHW=GO 530
DeviceSerialNumber=J1xxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=55279
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9701
ApplicationVersion=1238656.1
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

Map(s):
E:\Europe_TRUCK_885_4056\

Storage:
Size 3816MB, Free 1118MB

Does anyone have a clue? I am genuinely stumped and I really need help soon so I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help me. Thank you very much it is much appreciated.

Also what does password mean for maps? For example:
"Password For All above Maps; navitotal
The passwords are case sensitive, NO CAPITAL LETTERS
Avoid adding a "blank space" in front of or behind the password when copying it."

from http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?1576-Latest-Europe-TRUCK-Map

Thanks.

Look in your 885 map folder. If you don't see these 4 files, the map is not patched: .meta, .meta.dct, .tmeta & .tmeta.dct.
No .dct files = Your map is not patched. Put FastActivate & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the map folder, then run FastActivate option 2 only.

The password is only for downloading the NaviTotal offered map.
Once you have the map, no password is needed.
