map stripping

Postby gersma » Thu May 19, 2011 5:51 pm

Could someone point me out what the function is of each of the files below who belong in a map folder. I'm interested in the files related to following mapfunctions : cspeech, asr, alg, iq and hsnr.

The purpose of this would be to have only one full option map and then strip the map from unneeded functions on the fly, without having to get another map with other functionality (no iq, no alg, yes asr, yes cspeech, no hsnr etc)

this is the file list for which i seek some clarification :

borders.dat = 1 Mb
citymap.dat = 76 Mb
cline.dat = 1 Gb
cname.dat = 200 Mb
cnode.dat = 270 Mb
cphoneme.dat = 51 Mb
crpoi.dat = 21 Mb
cspeech_xxx.dat = 180 Mb together
faces.dat = 212 Mb
housenrs.dat = 66 Mb
mapinfo.dat = 62 b
overview.dat = 7 Mb
poi.dat = 165 Mb
profiles.dat = 28 Kb
tables.dat = 15 Mb
tmccodes.dat = 4 Mb
traffic.dat = 96 b
citymap.met = 3 Kb
faces.met = 9 Kb
overview.met = 3 Kb
tmctable.ttd = 5 Mb

thanks in advance

Why you want to replace the housenr file delete it.
You don,t need dummy cspeech files.
Dummy cspeech are from the past by now I expected you
are aware of it (you are a member since 2012)
Wich map and navcore you are using?

Thanks for the info, I use NavCore_9.541 SE and map Europe_North_1060_10614.
Can I also delete cspeech files, instead of using dummy cspeech files?

I have seen it instead remove cphoneme file
or use map Europe_North_1GB 1060_10562 (495MB)
