Maps for Tomtom One New Edition (2006)

Can I just use the auto installer for 8.410 and then try it or will I need to reinstall the map as well?

In the screenshot, I see that you have a ttgo file in your unit. It should be titled ttgo.bif. Now that you have installed 8.410, it may no longer be there. If you see any ttgo, ttgo.bif, ttgo.bak or ttgo.ori on your unit or your backup & can open it with notepad, look at line 7. What is the bootloader version?

If you have a working backup, re-load it. In the screenshot, there is a system55128 file, which is bootloader 5.5128. Rename it to system & copy it in with your reloaded backup, allowing it to overwrite. Disconnect & reboot. If the unit boots, then reload 8.412 or 8.410. Disconnect & reboot.

Both navcores will boot if I delete the USA & C map (it has a map of Guam on it as well)

With this new info, consider downloading 3262 again or try one of the other USA & C maps 3259 & 3261.

I am actually downloading USA 865.3259 I didn't notice there was a US only map that had more features. So we will see how it goes.

BTW: Has anyone thought of using torrents to host files? It beats having to wait to download a file and it support resuming.

1. US 3259 doesn't have more features than USA & C 3262, but it's a good choice, if you don't need Canada.

2. Yes.

3259 WORKS!!!!!!! I am not sure what the issue with 3262 was but my tomtom boots now with US selected as the map.

To bad it took me 2 days to fully download 3259 (the downloads kept failing then I would end up having to wait 1000+ second before I could start another download)

Thanks so much tendriver
