Maps for Tomtom One New Edition (2006)

Hello I am having some troubles updating my map. I have updated my navcore using the auto installer from this forum to 8.412.1236 successfully. Then I update the map to USA and Canada 865.3262 but when I switch to the USA and Canada map it keeps my tomtom from booting. Am I using the wrong map? What map should I be using?

Confirm you have patched the USA & C map.

I had used the autoinstaller does this not patch it for you? If not how would I check to see if it has been patched.

It should. Open your unit in Windows Explorer, then open your USA & C map folder. Look for a USA_and_Canada-309.meta file & a USA_and_Canada-309.meta.dct file.

Yes both files are present.

Is your ONE a SD card only unit?

No, it has the the slot for one, but I am using the internal 1 GB flash.

When I had you open your USA & C map folder earlier, what was the first thing you saw?

When sorted by name the first item is a folder named "brand" then the rest of the files are listed below:
cline.dat
cname.dat
cnode.dat

poi.dat
tables.dat
tmccodes.dat
traffic.dat

Have you done a hard reset?

I think I have. I have reset the unit via the reset button (in the little hole) and then held the power button down for it to display the text information of the device. I have also formated the drive and started fresh with no new results.

Did you give the reset a full 30 seconds? How about Clear Flash? FFR, we never recommend formatting except in the most sever cases. If no change, give the 8.410 version a go.

I tried holding down the power button for a full 30+ seconds and the clear flash tool neither helped. I will try navcore 8.410
