Miles & Kilometers

Miles & Kilometers

Postby gm4nsz » Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:45 pm

I have an interesting issue with speedcams and my new-to-me ONE IQ Routes. I was on my first long journey today using the TT on the main trunk route from Gloucestershire to London. There are a number of cameras on the route which came up on the screen on time. However, they all showed a speed of 37 in the window. I finally worked out that this was a conversion of 60KPH into MPH on the road which has a limit of 60MPH:)

I had a check of what seem to be the only settings and I am getting speeds in MPH and distances in miles and yards. Anything I am missing?

On full menu units, a change can be made in Main Menu, Change preferences, Set units.

Nope, all the settings are in Imperial. I am on NC 9.430 (provided by HOME) and Western Europe 885_4055. I have reinstalled the cameras and activated them but I still get the right number of MPH converted down from KPH and displayed. Very odd:(

The map and cams have nothing to do with the settings being in Imperial.

Run this: GetMy-Config v2.47 & post the results.

I set my unit for a ONE IQ with 9.430. Change preferences has 6 pages, with "Set units" on page 5.

That's what I've got and it's set to miles. Not sure what else there is?

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought you wanted to change from miles & yards to kilometers & meters. Do you not have the option of Miles or Kilometers in "Set units", "Distance units"? Anything I am missing?

I don't think so. I have downloaded the cameras and installed and activated them as usual. As I mentioned, it was the first run I had done with the ONE IQ so it's the first time I had noticed a problem. I hope I am explaining the problem clearly? If the speed limit on the road is, for example, 60MPH then it seems that the speedcam logic is seeing the figure 60 associated with that camera and converting it from KPH to MPH and displaying the MPH converted figure. Weird:)
