Most likely been asked many times before.

Is it the Navcore version, TomTom model or TomTom themselves determining the Mobile phone connection via Bluetooth.

I know my sons Iphone3 will not connect with my TomTom and yet my Sony Ericsson will.

TT changed the support files for the bluetooth stuff several times with the different Nvcore versions.
If you phone was supported by, let's say you previous Navcore, you could simply copy the needed files over from a backup to the new Navcore.
But for the case that one phone is supported and another is not you could only try different files in the hope to find one that supports both.
Not sure how important it is, but if you want to fiddle around with it I could upload the 2 most common versions for you to try.

Start TT Home. Go to: Manage my device, Items on device & scroll down to "Phone connection settings". Click the blue + then More Info. Version 15 is current.

True, I forgot about Home...
If the newer files support the iPhone please check if your Sony is still supported too.
