been having a problem for a while now, mobile cameras not showing up. downloaded from here latest map europe 4438 used latest F A. no problems except mob cams not showing up. F A shows uk premium ov 2 dct ok, uk t.t.ov2 dct ok.
in the cam menu on my go 530 a message at the bottom of page reads last mobile speed cameras update no info available.
in the past i have replaced cam files with some older ones that work then replaced them with the latest cam files this has usually done the trick, but not this time. its got to be something i'm doing wrong, but i dont know what. i hope you can point me in the right direction, kind regards.[TomTomGo]

You have done all you can do. Download, install, create a .dct file the first time, set the alerts, DONE.

have installed premium only, and that seems to have done the trick mobile cameras now showing but still have the message in alerts page last mob cams update no info available. but as long as they show up thats fine.
one last question though, with 8.398 navcore and truck map i can set the number of seconds to cams posistion, is there anything i can copy over to give me this function with 9.430 or is it in the maps.

1. Quote from speedcam thread post 1: "You CAN'T use the TomTom regular & TomTom Premium cams at the same time. If both are installed, they will default to the Premium cams".
I have never known of regular cams interfering with Premiums, which are the "default" cams. I've noted it for future reference.

2. This is very common with patched features. The Fuel price feature often does the same thing.

i have found the reason i lose the mobile cams after updating them. it's because the old premium ov2 file is 249kb which gets replaced with the new premium ov2 file which is only 98kb. when the cams are included in a map download the premium ov2 file is always 249kb but in the updates its always just 98kb.

What cams in what map download are you referring to?

im fairly sure when i downloaded truck 895. 4448, cameras for europe were included. my mistake if they were not and i got the 249kb ov2 file elsewhere. however if my cam premium ov2 file is not 249kb i don't have mobile cams showing up.

The correct size for the UK Premium cams is 98 KB as you noted. I have no idea where you got a 249kb uk file.

updates for 28 august 2012 contained a 239kb ov2 file. some updates do but most of them dont. i just update when they contain the larger file.

During that time period, there was a fluke in the cam updates that only affected the UK Premium file. The 28 Aug. 249KB download was one of those that were affected.

if i dont have this larger ov2 premium file in my map folder i lose all mobile cameras, so i,m still a bit puzzled by this.

Have you deleted Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2, Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2.dct & Safety_Cam_UK_PremiumOv2.ver, reinstalled Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2 & Safety_Cam_UK_PremiumOv2.ver, then re-patched Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2 file?

o.k. i give up for now, tried the above, same result no mobile cams.i even made up a new sd card with 9.430 official navcore added gb &roi 895- 4438 no extras at all added 895 postcodes and latest cameras from here, no mobile cams.replace the 98kb premium with the 239kb everything perfect.
close this thread if you like i'll just keep plugging away at it. many many thanks for your perseverance and patience.
