Sat Apr 30, 2011 8:31 am

Good morning.
I have a tomtom 910 that I would update with a new Navcore.
Navcore which is recommended for 910?.
Pardon the google translator and English but I'm Italian.
Thank you all.

The official 8.351 already has support for most features except HNR.
You can use the 9.205 for example.

Is not 7.903 "official" for a 910.

Good morning.
Thanks for letting me respond.
The 910 is the original never been changed.
It was my brother who has now bought a new car with navigation
incorporated.
He still has 6 maps.
Now I am going to change I hope I do not mix trouble.
Reading the forum it comes to Bootloader should I change it?
What is most strongly recommended for the 910?
Is there a guide?
Thanks again.

Tendriver is right again, it is only a 7.9 Navcore for the 910, so updating is a good idea.
Try the 9.205 or the one BMWRIVER mentioned, I can confirm that this Navcore works as well.

Every navcore has it's own bootloader. For your 910, the bootloader is not an issue.

I run my (very, very early) 910 with Nc 9.051, boot loader 5.5229 and Western & Central Europe 865.3245.
In the 910's root, I have a folder "\Config" which contains the file "model.txt", created with "Notepad" and has "x40" as its only content, which gives me the jukebox but not auto dya/night (I use "Dim when dark" in the menus), "x50" in the file "model.txt" gives auto day/night bu no jukebox. And the file "setconfig.txt", which contains the following switches:
bton
FMon
fixtmc

Again, created with Notepad. "fixtmc" is only required if you have the RDS-TMC antenna, for traffic info.

Nc 9.026 is also good on the 910.

Navcore 9.051's included official bootloader is 5.5237.
