For routes that I know, it's somewhat irrelevant; but I like to get the RDS/TMC info updates and then make a decision.

Are you aware that 9.401 has been replaced by 9.430?

I bought a Toyota Aygo a few months ago. It had a tomtom toyota II (eclipse II) installed.
I live in Greece and there were no greek menus and no greek charsets maps.
I've tried everything. I contacted toyota, I contacted tomtom and although right now it is sold in the basic config of the aygo, their response was 'sorry'.
I downloaded your file, I followed the instructions, I changed the "reskin" file because I had no menus, and VOILA !!! Greek language, menus, maps, the whole lot.
Downunder35m keep doing what you're doing mate. You are magnificent.
Thank you soooooooo much
Andrew

I have tried this version in a TomTom Eclipse II in a Toyota Aygo with the exact same device info as fuzzbuzz by following these steps:

1. I copied all the files in Navcore-9.401-Fan-Edition into an empty SD (in my case a microSD 4GB with an adaptor to SD).
2. In the folder skins, I opened the file reskin and left only the following: 18-GO x20;25-GO x30;24-GO x40.
3. I copied the map folder into the SD (the last version of Greece with greek street names is 885 4008 and with english street names 885 4010).
4. I put the SD into TomTom and I let it boot so that it can tell us that this map cannot be used and the files settings.dat and ttgo.bif are created.
5. I reconnected it to the pc and I activated the map using FastActivate.
6. Then, I had greek menu and greek street names.

Unfortunately there are some problems in this version:

1. Many times it either doesn't start (it shows that the bar is loaded, then it shows the castle and just before it boots completely, in the last second it shuts down) or it doesn't shut down.
2. It cannot recognise the old greek voices olympia and aristidis using a map with greek street names so the only solution I found was to either leave it silent and you don't have audio instructions or set the language to English so that the menu and voice are english.

Fuzzbuzz or anyone else, if you have made it work better, please be kind and share your wisdom because a lot of people will be interested in Greece who have this car and gps.

Freezing is often a sign of residue from a previous installation.
I suggest you try it again on a clean empty device and if adding a new map leave the old one on the device if possible.
That way you start with the old working map and eliminate another source of failure, switch the map once working and after that the old map can be deleted.
You can copy your old voices older back on your device to get the greek voices back.

Hi, having used your modified 8.395 for low memory devices before, I'm going to try this one in a similar 32mb device (TT One v8).
Which UK map would you recommend, hoping to get lane guidance if possible?
I've already got 880.3686 saved on my PC, but should I try for a later map?

Thanks for sharing your work !

I uploaded a 32mb version of the 9.450, you might want to try it as it should give better performance.
You can use any full featured map, the 890.4222 would be your prefered version.

OK cheers, I'll give them ago. Having trouble with File Factory lately, it tells me 'All free download slots are in use, try again later'. Which really annoys me 'cos I got premuim membership and it don't let me log in!

I'll have a go later on,

Thanks

I'm not an expert in FileFactory, but if you login first, and then start a download, it opens a separate download page and seems to work every time.

I can go to the filefactory home page in another tab, which shows I'm logged in, but then I can't find the file, which is linked from LinkSave.in.
If I follow the LinkSave link to the file, it doesn't recognise that I'm logged in, even though I am logged in in the other tab.

Bit frustrating.

Download Cryptload. Download the DLC file. Use Cryptload to open the DLC file. When the Package Settings window opens, under download type, select Premium & sign in.

I've tried this, I getthe cohice of free or premium download, I click premium, but then it doesn't give the option to sign in.

As a last resort, I followed the second link to UseNet, signed up, but same thing, the link goes to their home page with no link to the file.

Getting really frustrated with this now, I know the file's there somewhere!
