Great. Thanks for this crazy navcore even running on my "old" one !
Just one last thing : I cannot activate the TTS voice with last fast activate tool. When I run it, it doesn't see the french voice I've copied into VocalizerTTS folder. When I select it in my tomtom, it works strange and this voice repeat something like "copyright" ???
Can you help ? Thanks again.

Neither VocalizerTTS nor LoquendoTTS voices need to be activated. The FastActivate Voice activation feature is for Premium (purchased) voices.

You can see some of the premium voices here: Voices

VocalizerTTS are computer voices for the older 32MB units. LoquendoTTS are the same voices, but are for the newer 64MB units.

Ok. I just tried a loquendo TTS voice on my 32 Mb tomtom one and no sound is played when selecting this voice.
I haven't found a real french TTS voice (only a buggy canadian one). Do you know where I can find it ? Thanks for all your explanations.

If the Canadian voice is Julie, try Virginie. [Please Register or Login to download file]

Hello.
Thanks.
I've tried it, it's not perfect but it's ok.
I've also set the safety cams, is it possible to personalize the sound alert for each speed ?

With a full menu, YES
With a simplified menu, NO.

Hello.
Thanks Tendriver. Full / simplified menu must be switched from the interface ? As the backup of the first page is no longer available, do you know where I can find the audio files for speed warnings ?
Other question : I read on the first page the emulation option. Can you explain me what is "emulation" ? I assume that I cannot activate so much things on my old "one". Thanks again for your help.

1. DSA navcore Mods have an extra page in the Main Menu for changing the emulation, to get different looking menus and features. See Point 3 for the definition of emulation.
2. I don't understand this?
3. Emulation =Imitation of another. You can make a TT model look like a different model.

Thanks.

2 : In the past, when safety cams were legal in France, I was able to add some .ov2 and .ogg files for the safety cams. For each speed, I was able to set an audio warning like this : "warning : safety cam 130 Km/h". Can I do this again ? If yes, where can I find the audio files and safety cams POI per speed ?
3 : I mean I'm not sure if I can emulate something on my "old" one model.

I'm currently updating a one V4. It seems to have 64 Mb RAM. I've installed this 32 Mb navcore : it works well. I've played a bit with th skin / emulation option and now when I restart there are some "lines" on the screen : there is some "noise" on the screen.

4: should I try to fix this with editing the file as eplained in the first page ?
5 : should I use a 64 Mb navcore version ?

Sorry for all these questions.. :)

2. you used third party cams as TT cams don't give these warnings, at least not to my knowledge.
3. you can emulate what you like on almost any TT model, but not every emulation will work as expected on every model - trying is the best way to find out.

What do you mean by "lines on the scrren and some noise" ??

4. I would start by checking the available emulations and stick with one that is working fine.
5. You can try, but for 32mb models you will need a suitable NC/emulation and in case of a SE Navcore the switchfiles

I added tha backup again to the first page.

Thanks.
2 Is it at least possible for safety cams to know the speed limit ? I tried the speedcam pack of september of this forum and I get different results when driving near a safety cam : on a tomtom one 32 Mb I see a blank icon on the left on the screen, a question mark icon on the road and a beep sound. On a 64 Mb Tomtom one IQ route, I get same results except that I get the icon of the safety cam. But I never have the speed limit info. (ex : 110 Km/h). How can I improve this ?
3 I haven't understood what can bring emulation. What improvement can I get when using emulation ? All the media stuff ?
4 After playing with emulation on a Tomtom One IQ route 64 Mb (not my first tomtom one V2 32 Mb), the screen was "parasited" (like bad reception on a tv) after each restart. I put back a 64 Mb 9.40 navcore and seems to work again. But the tomtom take much more time to start.

2. what type of icon you see depneds on the Navcore and emulation.
AFAIK there is no way to get the speed displayed, I guess for TT it is sufficient to have the allowed speed in the statusbar.
3. you might want to check the tutorials ;) You fool your Navcore into thinking it is running on a different TT.
4. never heard of that and don't think is related to the Navcore or map, maybe some corrupt files or a faulty screen.

To downunder35m. Reference posts #73 - #81. Just as an update on not getting map shares. Upgraded to the 895 map, and everything works fine. I read in either this forum or another one about running a map within a map causing problems with the shares. I checked a backup of the previous 890 map I was using and it was running a map within a map. Just to see if that was the problem, reloaded my XL One with the backup, still wouldn't pick up the mapshares. Deleted the map, and reinstalled as should have been. Yep, you guessed it, gave me all of my map shares. Thanks to all that tried to fix a problem that I created myself.
