Navcore 9054.531676.2 on Go730

Postby imaz » Sun Oct 10, 2010 2:08 pm

Hi,

I tried loading the Navcore 9054.531676.2 for Go 750 onto my Go730, but some of the icons seem to be missing from the menus.

I've had this problem before and dont remember if there was a fix for it, back then it was the gpsunderground forum.

PS. I am still using ydgPatch to patch my maps and device.. Is this still the best way to patch?

Cheers...

Thanks, I have read that and it rang a bell. I tried restoring my MapSettings.cfg file and it still doesnt show my favourites. Infact, now my "Home" is not set, has disappeared. I know my mapsettings.cfg contains the correct favourites set as when I do a "strings" I can see the address in the .cfg file. There must be something with the new maps?

Favorites are not handled/transferred the same in the X50s as they are in other GOs. Since you used the 9.024 for GO 750, you might try x40 emu or even re-install it with the Go 740 version.

How did you know that? okay, I will try the emu for 740. I notice on this forum I keep getting redirected to some advertisement or spam. Do you all get this? It actually makes the pages load more slower.

Guys,

I finally got around to downgrading the navcore to the build for Go740 on my Go730, instead of the build I originally tried which was for Go750. The mapsettings.cfg still does not read my favourites, though I have given up and will set them up again as and when.

For now, I will still to the navcore that was built for the Go740.
