Navcore and maps

Sun Apr 05, 2015 7:12 pm

hi all. i recently bought a tom tom one xl. i have already ready about navcore and fastivate. now i just want to confirm the procedure.

i have downloaded downunders universal navcore installer. i have then selected the one for all xl (9510).
i have the latest fastactivate too
which is the lastest map for uk for that navcore?

also attached is an image of what version the current tom tom is. Image

lastly should i stick with navcore 8 or are there greater benefits with the new navcore 9?

quick update. so i just installed this map to my stock navcore 8 and it works fine. used fastactivate to patch the needed things. (United Kingdom and ROI 935.5745_Installer) . now which map do i need for the navcore 9510? also do i format the memory card then run the installer for navcore?

Latest UK map is the 945.6174.

But this map needs a navcore 9.02x or higher so a navcore 9.510 sounds great. ;)

Welcome to Navitotal.
Don't format anything.

thing is on the card i only have 8 mb free. i had to delete the original map folder to make space for the new one. then while trying to install navcore it said error due to no space. so what i did is make a folder on my desktop and tell the installer to install navcore there. that folders total size is 110mb. so now do i get the contents of that to my tomtoms sd card?

1. A new card would be my suggestion. I would get at least a 2GB.
2. No certain class. Just a good quality card like a Sandisk or Kingston etc.

Jup,

A new card is a good option. With your bootloader a 2gb SD card is max. A Sandisk or Kingston class 4 would be nice. Don't use the cheap ones.

1. Perfect.
2. All bootloaders above 5.5022 support SDHC cards.

If you follow procedure it's one minut work. I am on mobile so I can't give you an update file . I think tendriver can

- make sure your battery is fully loaded before you start.
- do the update from your old sd card
- DO NOT INTERUPT THE PROCEDURE.

[Please Register or Login to download file]
Unzip this .rar & copy the system file to your 2GB card & boot your device. After the unit completes booting, turn it off. You can now use SDHC cards.
