Hi
Can we use any 'navcore's' that are shown to be compatible with particular maps in the map chart?
The reason I ask is because I downloaded UK & ROI 880 310 and NC 8.56 for use on my ONE 3RD Edition and after installing all the software and using 'fast activate', I restarted my device and when it on the 'home screen' (not sure if that is what is called), I pressed the bottom right corner and the version came up, I then closed that down and pressed on the middle right to bring up the menu and the screen 'froze' then, after around 15 - 20 seconds, the device restarted.
Each time the device restarted, the same thing happened again and again so I changed the navcore to 8.41xx and it worked without problems so, I'm wondering if this is an issue and would I be able to use NC 8.56 and above on my 3rd Edition. i.e. any 9.xxxx?

For a 9.XXX navcore, try 9.205, which is official for the new 3.5" 32MB Rider.

Hi tendriver
Thank you for your reply.
If I was to try 9.205 on my ONE 3RD Edition and installed the latest speedcams etc from here, I am right in thinking that the an official NC would not normally need patching but I may need to because of the speedcams?

A map that you didn't get from TT must be patched. To use a patched map, you must patch the navcore, no exceptions. It's one of life's all or none situations.
