Navcore for Rider v1

Thu Mar 22, 2012 7:38 pm

I'm a bit confusing about all those Navcore versions. I have Rider with Navcore v650.107. Which new Navcore should i install? I heard that v79.01 should be fine, but i can't find that anywhere. Can anyone confirm that Navcore 9.205 work without problems in rider v1?

Thank you tendriver. One thing is unclear to me. Does TomTom have a built-in memory where the navcore is installed. In that case, can i make backup of navcore. I've made backup of SD-card. If something goes wrong i just clear SD-card, put old files back and least i got working device. Can it be all so simple?

A backup is nothing more than copying the contents of a unit's internal memory and/or SD card & pasting the copy into a folder on your computer.
Yes it is all so simple!!

Hi
I have also installed the 9.205 NC downloaded from post #4 to a blank sd card, after inserting the card with no map it loaded and said "No maps found". I loaded the UK map 885.4010 and tried it again before I patched the map and it said "Problem with map, this map cannot be use on this device",I then patched the map using autoactivate and tried again, now it will not even pass the start screen. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong ?

Sorry It is a Rider V1

1. This is the correct response with no map loaded.
2. This is the correct response with an unpatched map loaded.
3. Did you patch 9.205 or use the pre-patched?
4. It depends on you answer to point 3.

Hi Tendriver
I originallyy used the two links in green on post #4 and tried to patch it and the result was as in post #7.I have now tried the top link in post #4 and patched it,loaded the map and patched it but it keeps saying "you cannot use this map on this device" I have tried patching the map with both Fastactivater & Autoactivate.

There has to be a copy of your unit's ttgo.bif file on the card in order to patch the map.

Stick with the blue .cab download.

X_ttsystem.9.205.547817.1 Use this also. It is pre-patched, so you don't have to patch the navcore.

Have checked and there is a ttgo.bif file on card. Have copied the above x_ttsystem.9.205.547817 but now will not even pass the tomtom screen. Do I have to do anything with the files inside ie switchfiles etc.

Don't use anything but the blue .cab & the pre-patched ttsystem file from the ttsystem download.

Have you copied the rar file or did you actually use Winrar to unpack the content to your device?

Hi Downunder35m
I have just formatted my sd card and reinstalled the navcore using "extract to" from winrar. Inserted card into device and got the "ttgo.bif" file, I then patched the navcore using Fastactivater. Loaded map UK 885.4010 and patched with fastactivater. After patching I checked that I had a "Meta" file added to the root and a "DCT" file in the map folder. On inserting the card the device starts by telling me I have no voices, after pressing continue it then goes onto the "navigate to" and "Browse map" screen but there are no icons just empty white boxes. If I press Browse it shows my location on map but if I press "navigate to" it asks if UK or IR after pressing UK the unit just freezes and after a minute or so it does a reset.
