Just a quick question.
What model of the TomTom unit first had Navcore 9.205 installed on it.
Thanks in advance.

9.205 was shipped on the device Rider3 or as called Urban Rider in some Countries
, Is there a reason for your curiosity with this navcore ?

Yes there is...I was just looking to download a manual so I can be more fluent in this version that I have just installed on my Go 720 (I can't find one)
Also I hear the Navcore 8.351 is the best for the Go 720....Do you agree.
Thanks for the reply.

1. As djc said, the Rider3/Urban Rider. It is the 1 & only model with 9.205 as it's current OFFICIAL navcore.
2. You will not find a manual that gives anything significant about the navcore.
3. YES. 8.351 is the current OFFICIAL navcore for a GO 720. The current OFFICIAL navcore is
always the BEST navcore for a unit.

I don't want you to think that I mislead you. You asked about 8.351, and I gave you the correct answer. BUT, that doesn't mean that you can't use another navcore like 9.205.

No, not at all, I'm just experimenting with the 2 Navcores....I prefer the Navcore 8.351 apart from, I can't get the start up and shut down sounds to work.
Does anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks.

Did you replace 9.205 with 8.351 by removing 9.205 first or by copying 8.351 over 9.205, overwriting any common files?

I removed 9.205 first.
Thank you.

OK. I always do a copy over, overwriting any common files? I don't lose stuff that way.

Okay I'll give that a try tomorrow.....Thanks.
Just out of curiosity is anyone running 8.351 successfully with the start up and shut down sounds working.
Regards.

UH, post 10 is a hint for you. Guess you didn't get it.

Yes, I'll do what you say and overwrite 9.205 with 8.351.

I have overwritten 9.205 with 8.351 and it's just the same......Could it possibly be that the 8.351 Navcore is not compatible with the start up and shut down sounds ?
Thanks again.

No. Are these 3rd party sounds that you have added? If so, do you see them as .ogg files in the root of your unit?
