navcore update

Postby Downunder35m » Thu Jan 26, 2012 6:17 am

I wonder why we post instructions if he simply does what he likes....
No one said anything about a format, in fact we urge users never to format a SD or the internal memory of a TT.
So please state what currently is on the internal and what is installed on the SD.

computer via card reader, it is connected to the TT Home application. I can see the patched 880.3810 map and browse through the TT menus.
When I insert the card in TT and reboot TT, it seems to boot from the internal memory(as the internal memory (as it complains no map found because the map and patched navcore are in sd card) rather than the SD card.

Where were you instructed to do any of this??? We can not help you, if you do not follow instructions, but instead try things on your own.

I have TT with original navcore + updated system and bootloader file from tendriver. No maps on IM.

1. Reformatted sd card (fat32).
2. Copy everything, from the internal to the card.
3. Copy 9.053 to the card, overwriting any common files.
4. Copy the pre-patched ttsystem file & PNDNavigator file to the card, overwriting common files provided by tendriver.
5. Copy the patched map folder to the card (folder has *.dct file).

Thanks a lot.

You did not read post 31, otherwise your point would not exist.
Hope you won't have these troubles with the next map update.

I understand that I made a mistake getting impatient and reformatted the card.
After reformatting the card. I have the 9.053 on the card and some files on IE as explained in post 35.
Still the TT is stuck at the splash screen.
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP TO UPDATE THE NAVCORE.

Do a hard reset (hold reset for 30+ sec.),
connect to the PC without a SD,
turn on the TT,
it will connect to the PC immedeatly,
use the TT clear flash tool,
If still the same problem, use the 9.205 or the 9.004, both are tested be fine for X30 devices.
Make sure to delete all file before you install the new Navcore and don't format again ;)

A repeat from post 29.

Remove the card. reboot. Shut down. Insert the card & reboot.

Did teh steps as suggested in step 38, still TT is stuck.
So I downloaded 9.205.
1) Delete all the files from the card. Extract and copy the 9.205 on the card.
2) Copy patched 880.3810 map on the card.
Note: While I was doing the first two steps, the card was connected to TThome application automatically.
3) Insert card and reboot.
4) Now the TT cannot find maps. (Maps on card and no maps are on IM, so seems like it is boooting off the IM).

Please help

I gave you instructions in post 29 & repeated them in 39. I appears that you didn't follow them either time.
I can not help you, if you do not follow instructions

It appears the 9.205 navcore is not patched.
