Version 9.400

There is not a SE version YET!! FastActivate will patch this navcore, but it will have device specific emu & features.

Copied from TomTom.com
(USA) XL 335 LE/ SE/SE-TM, XL 350, XXL 550, START 40/ 45/ 50/ 55, GO 730, GO 930, GO 630, GO 740 Live, EASE, GO 720, GO 920, ONE 140/ red/ S, XL 340/ S/ LIVE, XXL 540/ S/ WTE, XXL 530S)

(UK) ONE IQ Routes Edition and Pearl, XL IQ Routes Edition / XL IQ Routes Edition 2 / XL (IQ Routes) Classic, XL IQ Routes LIVE, XXL / XXL Classic, Start 2 / Start Classic / Start XL but not Start 1, GO x20, GO x30, GO x40 LIVE, GO x50 (LIVE)
  • All supported devices now have an improved status bar with different tabs similar to most recent devices, and a clearer indication of the speed limit.
  • The Speed Cameras service has the following improvements:
    • You are now warned about speed cameras with new, clearer icons.
    • You can now report and delete speed cameras with one touch.
    • You can now confirm that a speed camera is stillthere.
    • When driving in an average speed check zone, your average speed is now displayed.
  • If you have a LIVE device and a valid subscription, speed camera locations, both fixed and mobile, are now delivered over-the-air.
  • We have improved the explanation about the data you share with TomTom, and the settings required for you to give permission and share data from your device. *
  • TomTom Buddies and sending and receiving files from your device using Bluetooth are no longer supported.
  • The TomTom HD Traffic receiver is also no longer supported. The receiver was only available in the Netherlands. When downloading this software, the TomTom HD Traffic receiver will no longer be compatible with the device. If you want to continue using the HD Traffic receiver, you must not download this software.
  • GO 520/720/920: if you download a new map after installing this update you will be upgraded to a map that supports addresses in Greek and Russian.
  • If you use your device at about the same time every day your device will find your current location faster when you first start your device. This improvement is for all compatible devices exceptes the GOx20 and GOx30 devices, and LIVE devices which get QuickGPSfix over the air.
  • Various performance improvements and bug fixes have been implemented.
To prevent TT Home from downloading & installing Navcore 9.400
Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9400
ApplicationVersion=851694.1
Save this change by clicking "File" in the upper left corner of windows explorer, then "Save as" ttgo.bak. At this point, there is only a ttgo.bak file in the root, no ttgo.bif.
Disconnect & reboot. Now you will have a ttgo.bak, a ttgo.bif & a ttgo.ori file in the root & no TT Home upgrade to Navcore 9.400.

We have been advised that TMC over the free receiver is no longer supported and that TT now only supports the live services.

In case someone wants to play with different emulations : [Please Register or Login to download file] PW: downunder
This is a DSA version with emulation selection over the menu - last page, Skin Chooser.
Currently supported the original emu of your device, X20, X30, X40, X50
Navcore is already patched and does not have nor need switchfiles.

You must have, because patching the navcore is all that is needed.

just patch the ttsystem not the map.

Or simply use the link I provided and you can change the emulation too, which is not possible otherwise until a SE version becomes available.

Hi td, I got the same result as higgy, upgraded (for want of a better word) a fully operational GO930 from 9.205 to 9.400 on TTHome, tried to patch the system and Fastactivate reported that the system "have already been patched" (that was the message c/w incorrect grammar). Gonna revert via my backup and apply the 'fix' to stop the update until the issue becomes clear.

Hi Macca

Mine said the same thing.
I only way i could use navcore 9.400 was to use the internal memory.
What ever i tried i could not get the map to work off the sd card but it worked with no problems off the internal memory.

1. We always test navcores before we post them.
2. I loaded a 4GB card, with nothing but a map & a ttgo.bif file on it, into my PC card reader. TT Home installed 9.400 on the card. Patched 9.400 with FA Premium. Inserted the card into a GO X20. The device booted with no problem.

Thanks alot tendriver.
I started again with a formated memory card with the map & ttgo.bif.
But used the pc card reader not the tt unit.
Ran like a dream so it looks like the best way to update is to use a card reader.
