Any idea what the TomTom drum title is or how can I identify it ?. If I can find that perhaps I can work out where the Apple Chime should go.

What would happen if I temporarily changed the ttgo.bif file (lines 9 & 10 ?) to the navcore 9.205 details just to see if Home would download the sound files ?.
Currently the error box in Home reads " You cannot use this feature because it is not supported by this device".

You don't have access to the drum sound. Your startup sound should be named splash.ogg & the shutdown sound should be named suspend.ogg. Try putting both of them in the root.

As far as I can tell they are. I have copied and pasted the original where applicable when installing into any other location.

splash.ogg , suspend.ogg - both located in the root of the device and you will hear the sounds.

Yep, just checked again, both those in the root - no sound.

Where should the splash.tlv and suspend.tlv files be located. They are in my sounds file as they are in a second 720 device where the sounds work (But different navcore).

.tlv files are basically version files & are not important.

Not sure if still relevant, but I think the startup sound only plays if there is a startup picture too.

Hi Downunder35,

I get both the start up TomTom picture and the drum beat on start up. Thats what surprises me in so far as they work OK but none of the other sounds will.
I've had the problem before with Home indicating the device doesnt support certain sounds and the startup and shutdown sounds being greyed out. It was with an earlier navcore and I cant remember how it was overcome. I think I altered a system file after advice from Tendriver at the time so that Home was unable to detect the actual navcore.

You should only get the TT pic & drum beat the first boot after disconnecting from your puter. The splash screen comes next. It should be titled splash.bmp for small screens or splashw.bmp for big screens.
