Navcore9.500 for Rider 2

Postby jumperger » Tue Jul 08, 2014 2:47 pm

Hi,
I installed Navcore 9.500 Memory Boost to my Rider 2 using the Rider9.500_Installer.
With this installer there are no voices.
I then used Navcore 9.510 Auto-Power Installer , this one has voices included.
After this I reused Rider9.500_Installer to come back to 9.500 Memory Boost.
Loquendo folder and voice folder still exist on my SD
Cpoied the .bif and used FastActivate
Message : Map -> ok ; Voices -> ok

Starting the TTRider I still do not have any TTS

Can you give me a tip to find my errors?

Code: Select all
DeviceID=AKxxxxxxxx
DeviceVersionHW=RIDER
DeviceSerialNumber=K2xxxxxxxxxx
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9500
TTSystem 2365161 bytes, modified 16/02/2013 20:40
PNDNavigator 8317476 bytes, modified 16/02/2013 20:40
BootLoaderVersion=55012
RDS/TMC 'mctx.dat' size 44 bytes
CurrentMap=Central_Europe_930_5563
CurrentMapVersion=930.5563
DSA emulation mode=17;17;slf-Self;18-GOx20;25-GO

Thank's

As I can't get Loquendo TTS to work, I would try to use vocalizer TTS voices.
I found a threat hear in the forum dealing with the installation of vocalizerTTS on 32MB devices. Original threat by megalos, but all files are down.
Does anyone have a copy of these files?
Or do you know which were the files in the rar archive. I found several VocalizerTTs folders around the net, but I'm not shure if these are mirrors of megalos files.
Can you list the needed files, so that I may search for them.

Thanks

Did you install this version? 9.500 Memory Boost HS: for devices that stay silent with the above versions when a voice is selected.
You only referred to the 9.500 Memory Boost version.

Yes, I tried all versions from the Rider9500_Installer, with LoquendoTTS.
Do you know which files are needed to test VocalizerTTS?
The Computer voices do not only stay silent, I can't even find them in the rider Menu. As the Navcores from the installer come without Loquendo files, can you tell me which are the files to be added to the navcore to view Computer voices in the Rider menu?

Thanks for your help

But Computer Voice Kate does NOT work

- I have installed the 9.500 Memory Boost HS Navcore,
- created a LoquendoTTS folder in the root of my SD
- extracted Kate.cab from your Link
- ovwerwrote the LoquendoTTS folder with the folder LoquendoTTS from the LoquendoTTS.rar from your Link
- added a voices folder with Jane spoken voice
- added a map Central_Europe_930_5563
- startet fastactivate on the SD
- powered on the Rider
- selected English Language
- selected Jane voice because there is no Kate voice in the selection.
- checked the voices preferences, only possible selection: " Read early warning instr. ..." YES / no ; "replace spoken instr. ... beep " NEVER

Am I missing something?

Unzip the Kate.cab to here: C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\TomTom\HOME\Download\complete\complete\loquendovoice
Unzip the Jane.cab to here: C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\TomTom\HOME\Download\complete\complete\voice
Empty the LoquendoTTS & voices folders on your SD card.
Add both voices by running TT Home, Add voices, Voices, Recorded voices & computer voices. Disconnect & reboot. Now do they both show up in preferences?

I have installed TT Home 2.7 now, but I get some problems :
I'can't generate the profile dll by clicking on " Operate my Rider " I get the following error message:
ERROR: Installation of the add-on failed.
Stack:
0. function errorAbortTask chrome://tthome/content/logic/ttPage.js:88
error(e);
1. tchrome://tthome/content/ui/subtask/emulator/emulatorPage.js:252
errorAbortTask(error);
2. chrome://tthome/content/logic/util.js:79
return func.apply(obj, arguments);
3. chrome://tthome/content/logic/model/ttAddon.js:651
this._errorCallback(this._stringBundle.GetStringFromName("addon.installFailed"));

Time: Sun, 27 Jul 2014 15:33:44 GMT

What I did:
- Installed TTHome 2.9.8 was automaticaly started
- Uninstalled 2.9.8
- Installed 2.7
- >>> deleted link outside the forum <<<
- changed the version numbre in C:\Program Files\TomTom HOME 2\xul\application.ini from Version=2.7.6.2056 to Version=3.7.6.2056
- started TTHome2 with login
- Tried to get the profile dll with navcore 9.500 MB HS on SD - did not work
- installed Navcore 7.901 and old maps to the rider , same problem TTHome2 brings error when downloading the profile dl
In TTHome the computer-voice button is greyd out

When using the add voices / spoken voices button I get a list of hundreds of voices loaded from Internet but I can't find the ones I copied to complete/complete/voice

I do not know what to do now

1. Navitotal does not support downloads from other forums
2. I have no idea what you are trying to do or why you are trying to do it!!

to 1. I deleted the link from the post
to 2. I tryed to follow your advice by installing computer voices by TTHome.
That's the reason why I want to install TTHome. As I want to instal computer voices on the Rider who originaly does not support them, I suppose I have to patch it with fastactivate.
When TTHome is not ptatched it says that I'm runing a not supported navcore when I use 9.500.
To patch TtHome I need profile dll which I can't get.
So I' m blocked here and I can not use your tip to install the voices

1. The ONLY reason to patch TT Home is to use the "Operate My Device" feature. None of my instructions in post 7 require you to patch or use "Operate My Device".
2. Just close this notice & continue using TT Home.
3. Same answer as point 1.

2. Just close this notice & continue using TT Home.
doing this, the add computer voice button is not active and I can't use it.
add spoken voices works, but only gives hundreds of voices to download, not the one that I copied to the folder you mentioned above, complete/complete/voices/...
These spoken voices are not the problem, as I may add them directly to the SD.
My main problem is adding TTS voices.
