Need some help, as tried everything, but still can't get to

Hi gusy and girls :),

I have a big problem with my TT. Thought I am clever enough to put some new map on it, and I've messed it up.
Here is my system info:
ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceVersionHW=XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceSerialNumber=RSxxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=55136
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9510
ApplicationVersion=1234792.2
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

Map(s):
G:\Western_Europe_910_4892\

Storage:
Size 1957MB, Free 53MB
TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceVersionHW=XL IQ Routes Edition
BootLoaderVersion=10012
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9500
ApplicationVersion=1161701.2
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...

The problem is the following:
I can not get the map patched. Tried with FA and after updating the meta.txt still would not patch the map. Gives me the following error:

Don't know what I'm doing wrong, as I have copied FA to the root folder and done everything as it should of been done (I suppose)... I am doing something wrong and don't know what.
I have found this map uploaded here as well, but can't download it, as other pages keeps coming up...bla bla bla
Anyway, this map should be working as others are using it ( downloaded from torrent and read comments there as well).

If there is a chance, could you help me out with this, PLEASE!?

Regards,
Perike.

I am thinking that you are trying to patch a 910 map for which there is no meta code available.

I am thinking you'd better choose 915.9074.

Don't worry, your problem can be solved. Although you might have to invest some time downloading another file.

Razorblatter is correct. There isn't a meta code for Western_Europe_910_4892.
There is a meta code for Europe_West_910_4892 [Europe_West-781.meta].
There is also a meta code for Western_Europe_915_5074[Europe_West-781.meta].
There is also a meta code for Europe_West_915_5074[Europe_West-781.meta]

That's not the problem.
You just cannot patch a map without a meta code. Guessing it is still way too time-consuming.

There will be a ttgo.bif file and that's the one that counts.

TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:

Where is your bif file ?

Both .bif files are in post 1!!

nasty_boy wrote:I agree with you, but there must be more than one problem, I don't know from where that information is, seems to me there is more missing

1st ttgo.bif file is from the internal & the 2nd one appears to be from a SD card. Nothing appears to be missing.

Update!

I have to say a massive THANK YOU!!!
I did what I've been told by Razorblatter and tendrive and whoala, works like it used to. The only did in a different way, used an older map which i could manage to download quicker. After a format for the device and a flash cleaning did everything as before and FA worked like a dream.
I have to say, you guys are absolute legends!!! All my respect to u!!!

Well, I learned from the best.
Being tendriver and downunder. :clap:

But glad to have been of service I'm sure !

Next time, be sure to take a recent map that has got an accompanying meta code and you it will be smooth sailing from there on.

1. You are Welcome.
2. FFR!! Glad you are up & running, but you just had a minor patching issue & none of this was necessary. Hope you have replaced the "older map" with 1 of the newest ones mentioned in post 3. A never fail way to patch a map: Put FA with an updated meta.txt & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif in the map folder, then run FA option 2!!
3. We try very hard to please our members!!

PS: we never recommend formatting, except for the most severe cases.
