New Map on XL IQ - Where are all of my "City's" Gone?

Postby sportyporty » Tue Jun 11, 2013 11:35 am

Hi guys. Firstly, I have to say what an informative website this is, and thanks to everyone who's hard work has got me this far on the road to adding a new map to my TT.

I have a TT XL IQ, which just had the UK maps. I needed to load maps for an upcoming trip to Spain, so downloaded

Western_Europe_895_4449 with Automatic Installer & Patcher

Which I installed. Of course TT complained that it couldn't read the maps, so I downloaded and ran

Albert's EasyActivator 6.15

Which again, seemed to run successfully. The TT now appears to be fully functional, but when I try to search for a city, I only get options for UK or Vatican City...!! LOL.

I've searched the site for people with the same problem, but cannot find anything. Have I missed a step somewhere? Or do I need to download additional files.

Thanks in advance.

1. you want to remove your personal infos from your posting
2. you want to use a current map from the 910 collection
3. you might want to select the country where you search for an address

Doh!! Yes indeed, it was user error. I can see now that I need to type the country at the very top, then they all filter through.

So, it looks like everything's working then.. I didn't install the 910 maps as I was unsure about the compatibility. But if they DO work, I will set about downloading them now.

Thanks for the prompt reply Downunder35m

Run TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011}. Post the results here.

Navcore 9.510 is current for your unit.
Download: http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/nav...navcore-GO.cab + this pre-patched ttsystem file 9.510 SE ttsystem.rar.
Unzip both downloads. Copy the .cab files & folders onto the XL IQ , overwriting any common files. Copy the ttsystem.rar files into the XL IQ , overwriting any common files.
Disconnect & reboot.

Western_Europe v910.4956 (1630MB) or Western_Europe v910.4973 (1810MB) are compatible with your unit.
