New maps v.1050 - cannot be started

Hi all, were some of you able to make it work ?

What I've tested,

TomTom One 3rd edition
***Navigator 9541***
Iberia 1050_10180 - NOK
Iberia 1050_10182 - NOK
Iberia_1045_10004 - OK

***Navigator 9510***
Iberia 1050_10180 - NOK
Iberia 1050_10182 - NOK
Iberia_1045_10004 - OK

Win CE Phone
***Tomtom WM Navigator 7.916***
Iberia 1050_10182 - NOK
Iberia_1045_10006 - OK

All this 1050 maps were activated successfully with fastactivate, but in the device i get always error...

TomTom One new edition

Windows Mobile 7.9xx

Hi, I searched my old Mio P550 with WM5, just for fun, put map 1050.10226 and it works like a charm (activated with old tt8_keygen).
Other maps I've not tested. Now waiting for android map available to be downloaded.

your NC9541 is very different then mine. Does it work for my TT as well and do I have to copy all the files to my TT?

Earlier you said TomTom One 3rd edition and now it seems XXL Classic Series.
Give it a try and you have to copy all the files and folder to an empty XXL.

Hi,

no it is mauzao who has a TT One 3rd edition. I have a XXL classic but with same 1050 map issues.
To problem is that I can't try another Europe zone west map because there is no meta available (like 1050.10179).
However Benelux 1050.10180 gets activated and works like a charm, with same NC, activated with same FA 29/04 on same device.
To me it's like some 1050 maps are corrupt or do not match certain TT devices, although they get activated.


UPDATE:
Benelux 1050.10180 does not work like a charm . When I choose an address out of my favourites it works, but when I choose from address input my device freezes and reboots. I even tried re-installing NC 9541 from file on this forum and directly from TTHome. No solution. Conclusion: 1050 maps don't seem to work on a TT XXL Classic.

It's exactly the same that i'm using, it must be something regarding the old version of my bootloader or device, i don't know...
I send you the ttgo bif files with 1045 maps and 1050 maps, in the 1050 map one, we can see this,

CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

and with 1045 maps, all fine,

CurrentMap=Iberia_1045_10004_PNA
CurrentMapVersion=1045.10004

I have no idea why some maps 1050 not working. All the maps mentioned I tried on a Go 750 a One new edition and they all worked..

Is there someone who can help us with this issue, plzzzzzzz?

What happend if you copy the file mapsettings.cfg from the map BNL to your computer.
After that delete the file mapsettings.cfg. Give your device a reset and start it up. Input a addres and look if it still freezes.

Removed .cfg file and now it works like a charm ;-). Thnx !
I will try this later with the Europe zone west 1050 map. Who knows?

Hi and thanks for investigating this, I checked my SD ans I don't have any mapsettings.cfg file to delete (would have loved a simple fix like this).

My SD is 8GB and I've put Europe_1011_8978 AND Europe_1050_10180 on it at the same time and the first (and oldest) one is working, not the other ?!?

If I can provide or test something to clear this out I'd be glad to do so!
