New TT models: Start vs Via, or other

Postby jjmaia » Thu Jun 21, 2012 4:47 pm

Hi there,

I have a TT One V2 and i'm satisfied, but it's old and very slow, so i'm thinking on buying a new one.
I'm thinking about TT because i'm used to it, and because it easy to crack.

It seems the Via are not crackable yest, but what about the Start?

My second question is, what are the main differences between the Start and the Via? TT gives litle info.

Third question, what is the difference between the 2 and the TT XL classic?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Via 125
GO LIVE 800
GO LIVE 825
GO 7100

GO 7100 TRUCK
GO 7150 TRUCK
GO 9100

Currently there is NO WAY to manipulate/crack/patch/copy/clone/update or otherwise modify these devices, except through MyTomTom for a price, rather than TTHome.
As a result, Navitotal is not maintaining any specs on these units.

Apparently, the new Via's (130 & 135) have improved voice control. I've been looking at buying one myself. The downside being that I will have to pay for map updates. The Start 20 & 25 models do not have voice control.

Thank you for the help.
I don't care about voice control, half of the time i'm using it on a motorcycle.

I think i'll wait until it is cracked...

Thanks.

You could be waiting for a very long time.
I'm going to stick with my basic XL30 32mb. If or when I get to the point where I can't update maps for free on it then I'll probably buy a new TT.

1. That's very possible.
2. Spend a few quid & pick up an older model with 64MB memory. This will solve 90% of your problems.

That's a very good suggestion. I've been considering that ever since I found out about the map update "problem" with the new TT models. I was also hoping that I could squeeze a little more out of my 32mb device. I'll have to see how I get on with 9.450.
