Thanks for the TTcurrentconfig I ran it & this is what I got

TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom GO 730
DeviceVersionHW=GO 730
BootLoaderVersion=55120
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982
CurrentMap=Australia
CurrentMapVersion=815.2057
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...

And this is what I had tried up till now
1: I ran FastActivate_23.10.2011_Light_edition_v1.8.7.4 & went thru the steps & it seem to go ok with all the lines saying !ok
2: I ran Australia 875_3613 with Automatic Installer & Patcher "Australia 875.3613_Installer"

After this the TomTom would not boot in at all I would stop at boot up screen , so I hit the reset & did a restore with TomTom Home program

Any help appreciated

Thanks

1. You must patch your 8351 navcore & 875 map. FastActive Light does not patch navcores. You need the PREMIUM version.
2. Just as the name implies, Automatic Installer & Patcher automatically installs & patches the map.
Bottom line, you really didn't do anything when you ran FA Lite. Your problem is an unpatched navcore. Download the Premium version & click the ttsystem/PNDNavigator button.
BTW, we never use TT Home to created a backup. Copy & paste to your Desktop is preferred.

I ran the Premium version as you said & clicked the ttsystem/PNDNavigator button & it looks to work fine so I ran Australia 875_3613 with Automatic Installer & it created a directory on the tomtom called Australia_875_3613

When I booted into the tomtom it came up with a list of 3 " why 3 I don't know since there isn't 3 Australia directory's
Australia
Australia
Australia

Once I clicked on any it boots in but its still the old maps version 815.2057 , do I need to delete the Australia folder before patching or rename the Australia_875_3613 to Australia?

Open the AU 875 map folder. Look for a .meta file & a .meta.dct file. No .meta.dct = map not patched.

No.

Put copy of FastActivate + a copy of your 730's ttgo.bif file in the Australia 875_3613 folder & run the FastActivate map patcher.

1. No luck as in still no .meta.dct file?
2. This won't work unless you patch it for YOUR 730.
