Hi thanks in advance I have a xl one I have map version 930 have installed on the root directory ran easy activator and still cant get it to work any help please this is my first sat nav and a total newbie.

im a newbie so just learning put the new map on and when I reboot the nav it comes up with map not found do I need the files that were not found?

1. In post 1 you said you have loaded a 930 map. TT CC sez you have UK&ROI 725.1883 loaded. Which is correct?
2. Both map & navcore must be patched. Run FastActivate options 2 & 3

yeah I tried to install the 930 but it did not show up ran fastactivate followed instructions and nothing even did a fresh install updated navcore to 8.562 as this was the one recommended and still nothing

This is what I cant understand put fresh install on from scratch install navcore to 8.562 soon as I connect to the pc tomtom home pops up update then it go's back to navcore 8016
as for which 2 ttgo.bif files is current don't no

1. TT Home will always try to load the current official navcore for a device. In your case, it is 8016.
2. OK.
3. OK.
4. 930.5563 maps require a 9.0XX or higher navcore. UK&ROI 925.5440 does not have a meta code posted & is not usable.
5. UK&ROI 930.5601 does have a meta code posted, is compatible with 8.016 & is usable.

so how do I stop it from loading 8016 and load the new navcore thanks for the help tendriver.

Open your device's ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace the values in lines 9 & 10 with these::
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8016
ApplicationVersion=9380
Save this change by clicking "File" in the upper left corner of windows explorer, then "Save as" ttgo.bak. At this point, there is only a ttgo.bak file in the root, no ttgo.bif.
Disconnect & reboot. Now you will have a ttgo.bak, a ttgo.bif & a ttgo.ori file in the root & no error message.

Follow these instructions EXACTLY. Do no more than & do no less than!!
