Yes I had backed up before I started. I have started a new download of the map USA/Canada 885_4092 with automatic installer and patcher.
I put everything back into my TOMTOM. I am going to try again. Hopefully when I install the new map all will go well. I will let you know.

Yes, unless you deleted you first 4092 download, there is no reason to download it again.

Hi Tendriver,

It took abit but I am good to go!!!

1. I formated my TomTom
2. I reinstalled Home
3. I downloaded the map
4. With the great files here and help I got it all to work

One more thing...When TomTom Home starts it says

your map is not up to date
MapShare disabled:6783 map corrections ignored


5. Is this a concern?

3. Same as point 1, if you didn't delete the 1st download.

5. Yes, you are missing 6783 map corrections verified by TT. With your unit connected to your puter, Go TT Home, Tools (upper left corner), TomTom Map Share, Map Share Preferences, Select "STRICT". Done.
