Newest navcore and truck maps for tomtom GO530

Hi guys,

I haven't been using this site for a very long time nor updated tomtom.

Just wondering what navcore and maps are the most updated that you would suggest using?

No, the device is not too old & all of the information is there if you look for it.

Anyway, if you want to use the Truck map, you'll need to use the Truck navcore 9.702 and the latest Truck map is 1055.10406

I am wondering if meta files are available for 'Europe_TRUCK_1055_10406' map?

Managed to install everything (with older maps).

Strange but my tomtom go530 won't start anymore. Like I was charging with a power bank and it's just blank screen.

Then I left over night to dischcarge and with a fresh start I managed to hear drums and see tomtom 'truck logo'. Then after that nothing happened, again blank screen. Can't even reset.

What could be the issue and how to fix this if any ideas?

Try an other navcore

I had to go and buy second hand go 720 because go 530 decided not to work properly (apparently battery problems)

so I tried to install into go 720 same files as mentioned above but it keeps restarting tomtom.

Do you think it's the navcore problem?

I will try to get a new SD card and 9.701 nav core to see if that solves the issue.

Managed to install 9.701 and it works fine so far. Would really 9.702 makes device slower, maybe that's what causes the 'restart problem' ?

Neverthless I don't see a big difference between 701 and 702 navcores.. please correct me if I am wrong.

I will try soon to install the 702 navcore into a new SD card.

Still the same questions and problems as at many other forums ?
