Newly downloaded maps - DCT Error

Postby naviboy » Sun May 01, 2022 10:12 pm

Downloaded 2 maps for UK & ROI & Canada & Alaska, both have META Files.

Ran FastActivate, and updated, updated Meta.txt and ran Patch maps etc.
Both maps have a dct error ?
Both maps speedcams etc ov2 dct's ok

How can I access the META File for the maps to check the coding and edit if need be. WordPad or NotePad will not open them in readable text.

Is there another reason for the dct errors.

Not had this issue with previous maps over the years.

Thanks

It's all in the help file but...copy the meta's you require into a file called mymeta.txt and use that to activate

There is a good chance that when you get the meta.txt via Fastactivate you will get a wrong old meta.txt.
It is best to search here for a meta.txt
The normal meta.txt can be edited with any editor, that it doesn't work indicates that you didn't get the right file
