Noob - Need a confirmation if I'm doing this correctly

Postby uknavigator » Fri May 30, 2014 10:08 am

Hi guys,

It's my first post here, so please accept my apologies in advance for any mistakes I make.

I have a TT GO720 which currently has:-

Navcore - 9.510.12347921.1
UK & Ireland Map - 910.4892

I have been reading the stickies, but just want a confirmation of the following please:-

1. Do I already have the latest and correct navcore for my device?
2. Am I correct in assuming the latest and correct map for me is 930.5618 (I ONLY NEED UK+IRELAND version!)?
3. If the answer is YES to the above 2 questions, then am I right in thinking that all I need to do is delete the old maps folder and replace it and simply replace it with 930.5618 maps and then run FASTACTIVATE?

Thank you

1. Yes.
2. No. 930.5618 is the Europe Truck map. You want UK & ROI 930.5563.
3. replace it with 930.5563 map and then run FASTACTIVATE, options 1, 2 & 3.

Navcore should be fine. The 5618 map is a truck map - is that what you need? I have a Go730 and am using the 930.5563 UK & ROI with no problem.

Thank you very much guys. I think your right in saying that I don't really need a truck map and also only need a UK/Ireland version.

EDIT: I have now installed the latest version of maps, so thank you for your help. I have also replaced the postcode with the new version, although I'm not sure if I need to patch this too. Lastly I now need the latest camera files.

If you look further down the page, there is another link to all of the UK & ROI maps. Choose the link for the rar file.

Thank you Hotpants...I think you must have been typing the reply at the same time as I was editing my post #4. FYI, I've already managed to get hold the same maps on a different site. All is fixed. Only got to sort out the latest speedcams and postcode.

The postcode files do not need activating, they just need extracting to a folder on your device called 'zip'

Download the SpeedCams from here, then extract the 2 x Premium UK files to the new UK & ROI map directory and activate with FA option 2.

Job done :D

Thank you very much fredderf. I've done exactly what you've advised and FastActivate successfully patched the files. All seems to be fine, except that when I go to Tomtom Services>Speed Cameras, in the bottom left-hand corner, it says:-

"Last updated: Out-of-date"

Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it.

Good morning everyone.

I've tested the updated tomtom locally last night and although the maps and speedcams seem to be fine, there is a problem with the postcode. When I entered an address which I goto regularly, the postcode is one digit out. Previously, this would not be an issue and was working fine.

There is a post code fix just below the map/navcore compat chart in both 930 map threads.

I've just done what you told me tendriver, but I still get the same problem. In order to keep the address/postcode private, I have PM'd you a screenshot
