1. now i have north america on the sd card along with the ttgo bif file in root, how do i activate this map.
2. how do i switch maps when needed, can't seem to find it thru the menus
tinribz wrote:done it, i had to send the navcore to the sd card also.
now i can see the maps and the option to switch maps.
thank you very much for the guidance and support. i'll make a donation to the site now to show my appreciation
tinribz wrote:yes, i have it running now, crossed posts.
donation sent. thank you very much
tinribz wrote:yes, read that, changed card appropiatly (just need a flight to usa or canada to try now) and hit the thanks button.
my next step will be to update my sons tt1 v2 when i get hold of it.
tinribz wrote:yes i've ran a demo mode and that seems fine. i'd prefer a flight to try out properley tho
one problem i have is if i leave the sd card in the the tt and connect to computer, the pc will crash. take the card out and it'll be fine.
1. i haven't installed tt home on thie pc, should i do that,
2. and will it require patching?
tinribz wrote:i've tried tt home following the examples here but when i get to
'operate my device' picture, it doesn't ask for a new file to dload, i get error messages about an invalid purchase etc
then, instead of the black tt screen with icon shown, i get a picture of w&ce map screen with 'you cannot use these maps' message
i exit tt home thru the system tray, go to patch home and then get a final message of 'correct tomtom home .dll is missing for your device'
