OK this is what I have now.

DeviceName=TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceVersionHW=XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceSerialNumber=
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20100702
BootLoaderVersion=10012
LinuxVersion=1000
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
UserLanguage=English US
UserName=
LastConnectionTime=Never
GPSFirmwareVersion=Unknown

Installed new navcore with map 865.3254
Did the autoactivate and clear flash.
After trying everything I could think of, it still wont load past the flash screen.
Last night I could get it to operate on the TTHome under operate my one xl.
Figured it might be a prob with Navcore and installed the new navcore.
Or did I maybe not install it correctly? It looked like it installed without any problems.
Now it wont load or operate in TThome. I get the red Problem with map screen.
Tried to redo the autoactivate with no success.
I got the map off of a bittorrent. I tried to get it off off here but it keeps taking me to some redirected site with a bunch of naked chicks! LOL. Is that the right one???

Your 10012 bootloader is not compatible your navcore.

Did hard reboot and now it says Bootloader version S5.5277.
Now the TTgo file looks like this:

DeviceName=TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceVersionHW=XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceSerialNumber=
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20100702
BootLoaderVersion=55277
LinuxVersion=547200
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
UserLanguage=English US
UserName=beef11
LastConnectionTime=Never
GPSFirmwareVersion=

Still no go. Should the GPS firmware version say something? Also deleted the mapsettings.cfg file just in case.

I was thinking that the old Navcore was why it wasnt working. So installed 9.205. I had 9.061 I think. I know according to the table that should have worked just fine. Guess I should have asked for help before installing?

I would remove 9.205 & install my 9.061 backup. Confirm that navcore & map are patched and be done with it.

Thanks again for you help tendriver but I must not be doing something right. I backed up to the 9061 navcore. Downloaded the 3254 maps from here. Did the fast activate and both map and navcore are patched. I am able to operate it on TTHome but it still wont load past the stupid pic that it always shows on startup.
Here is what shows in the ttgo file now:

RamDiskVersion=20100915
BootLoaderVersion=55277
LinuxVersion=567329
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9061
ApplicationVersion=576030.2
UserLanguage=English US
UserName
LastConnectionTime=Never
GPSFirmwareVersion=

CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

OK, was wondering if I also messed up on opening the ttgo file. I stupidly forgot to uncheck the option of always using notepad to open it. Do I need to change it back to something else? Or is it ok to leave as-is?

Been trying to figure this out. I did a reboot and bootloader shows on the reboot page 55277. It will still operate on TTHome. When I use that and go to the info page it reverts to the 10012 bootloader. Why is that?
Before I use TTHome the current map shows as above post. Nothing there.When I use TThome the ttgo file updates to the actual current map in use but still with the old bootloader. Is there a way to delete to old one?
No matter what I do, it won't load past the splash picture.
Again, thanks for any help you can supply.

1.This is the way you want it set, so leave it as is.
2.TT Home "operate my device" is a simulation/emulation. It is worthless for troubleshooting. A patched navcore always shows 10012 in "OMD", regardless of the actual b/l.
3. See item 2.
4. I would start from scratch. Clear your device. Don't format. Copy in your 9.061 backup. Download the attached .rar. Unzip it & copy the pre-patched PNDNavigator file & model.txt file into your unit, overwriting any common files.
Copy in your new map folder. Delete the .dct file in the map folder. Run FastActivate & only click the map button.

Disconnect & reboot.

The TT Home backup is your only option. FFR, nobody recommends using TT Home for a backup, because TT Home doesn't do a very good job of reinstalling the backup.

Did all of that. Originally got red screen of death, Map cannot be used. Checked and .dct file wasnt there, even after autoactivate. Ran clearflash and autoactivate again and .dct file was now there. But now it wont load past the flash screen like it has been. ttgo file still looks the same:
RamDiskVersion=20100915
BootLoaderVersion=55277
LinuxVersion=567329
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9061
ApplicationVersion=576030.2
UserLanguage=English US
UserName=
LastConnectionTime=Never
GPSFirmwareVersion=
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0
What the frack am I doing wrong???????? It doesnt sound like it should be this messed up and hard to finish.
Oh, one other thing, did a "hard?" reboot, held power buttin for 30 seconds and got the info screen. The bootloader version there was S5.5277. Anything special or different there?
