First of all, let me say hello to all the people who run and support your forum. I came across this forum whilst looking for ways to "improve" and get the most from my TomTom.

As a complete noob to all the terminology in the posts, I thought I would ask you guys what is the best way of "upgrading/improving" my TomTom GO530. I use it everyday, albeit that I have to have it constantly plugged in to the power supply as the battery won't stay charged and switches off after 2-3 minutes if unplugged!

If any of you have any suggestions for ways in which I can improve my TomTom, please let me know. I will post any details you require about my unit so you can give me the correct information.

I tried to install the navcore 9, which I think I have done successfully. How can I tell if I have? Also, my map is for Uk and Ireland. Is there anyway to change this to Europe (for no charge! )
