Novice help for TT Rider V1

Postby Joca » Wed Oct 17, 2012 10:32 pm

Hi
Thanks for reading this.
I have bought a Rider V1 and had a go at updating here and get No Maps Found.
7.901 Navcore I believe the most suitable for this unit and downloaded 895.4444 WE
Everything seems correct on card.
Any hints?
TIA

Best hint is to read the instructions that are freely available in the map threads, the Navcore section and our tutorials.
If you found the map you will find the instructions at the beginning of the thread too ;)
Since there are already enough topics for the Rider models I wonder if you noticed that most users actually prefer to use the 9.205 ;)

Thanks for the hint. I stayed on the 7.901 as it was the latest official and to save messing about too much until I got the hang of it.
I shall look to the other.

You'll notice that the 9.205 has much more to offer and will give your oldie a fresh new look.

1. 9.205 is the current official NC for the Rider 3 & runs quite well on the R 1.
2. Do not be concerned, we are your "safety net"!!!!

OK, I am stumped now.
I have moved to 9.205 and finally think i've got it working and boot the Rider without maps (message no maps found comes on and system stays there)
Then, when I put a UK map on (tried 2 different versions and used the fast activate) it stays stuck on tomtom splash screen.
I have tried this on 2 different sd cards and used a WE map on the big card but seems same.
What am I doing wrong?

Have re-done all and get Problem with map you cannot use this map on this device .....name... -622

1. There are only 2 items required to successfully boot a TT. 1. A navcore. 2. A map. Enuf said on this issue.
2. The 2 UK & ROI map versions are??? The FastActivate version is???
3. OK
4. Currently not enuf posted data to tell.
5. That message indicates a patching issue.

1. FastActivate Premium 1.8.9.0 Updated 19.10.2012 is current.
2. How are you patching 9.205?
3. This map is OK.
4. This map is not usable.

I am patching by placing the files PNDNavigator and the ttsystem from the patch on my card.
I shall look for the new Fast Activate.
:D

Tried latest version and used it. On the Navcore, said already patched.
Tried on UK map and then unit does not boot, stuck on tomtom splash screen.
:-(

Are those 2 files all you are using from the patch?
