now and again I get the start up loop on my tomtom go 720 tr

I am using tomtom go 720 with 895_4448 bootloader 5.5120 and truck navcore 8.398 the latest one and all works fine but now and again it does the loop where it wont start, so I go into the root on the sd card and delete the file currentmap.dat is there anything I can do to prevent this, or is there something I have not done and that is why it happens?

1. The currentmap.dat does nothing more than list the current installed map. Like the ttgo.bif file, it is self creating & can't be deleted.
2. Is your entire truck setup on the card, or just the truck map?

Everything is on the sd Card, but as I said before when I deleted the current map. dat. Which when I put it back in and turn Tomtom on it recreates itself and works, but sometimes I have to do the process again.

I'm not sure what maps is on or navcore, I will look later and let you know. I'm not sure how I got the information to delete current map.dat file. Do you have any ideas of what it could be?

Hello again I got the tomtom go 720 and I've taken the sd card out to see what is on the unit memory and... ah I have a problem, it wont do anything it loads a picture up then just goes grey. I connected to my laptop to see what is on the go 720 hard drive and there is files and folders that look like everything is there that should be there.

I tried to connect to tomtom home to see if that could sort anything out but to no avail, I'm stuck with this one.

1. Could you be more specific than just "files and folders that look like everything is there that should be there"?
2. TT Home is not a problem solver.
