Old TomTom one v3 ready for scrap?

Postby Remibok1972 » Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:41 am

Hello everyone I have a question.
I have an old TomTom One v3 (not sure if it is v3) TomTom program said it when I connect the TomTom on my computer.
But can it still be used for navigation.
I encounter a problem now.
I run navcore 9.541 patched with ttactivator 1.20 and a Benelux 1105 map.
The problem is when I start the TomTom the map comes up but when I press on the map the TomTom hangs and reboots.
Is there a way to get it running again?
Or is it ready for the trashbin?

Can someone explain what to do and wat software to run?
It’s appreciated thank you

Do you have a SD slot. Have you installed speedcams if so delete them and look if you can start normal.

1) Download the navcore*
[Please Register or Login to download file]
--
2) Delete the content of the SD Card
--
3) Unpack the* navcore (winrar 5 or higher ) and place folders and files on the SD Card.
Insert the SD Card in the device.
--
4) Start the device till the announcement "No map found"
--
5) Copie the selected map to the SD Card in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
(plain map no speedcams,poi,etc)
--
How to read the chart.

--
6) Download FastActivate.
http://www.navitotal.com/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=19452
Copy FastActivate.exe and
meta.txt to the
root of the SD Card

1. Update Meta.txt (after that don't quit the program)
2. Patch Map
3. Done - quit FastActivate
---
If you want the activate another map after you have quit the program use the following procedure:
1. Update Meta.txt
2. Patch Maps
3. Done - quit FastActivate

7) Give a 15 sec reset and start the device if everything works fine
just then you can ad speedcams etc to the map
--
We like to hear the result Good or Bad.
And keep away from TomTom Home.

NOW is the time to do a FULL Windows Backup of your SD card (don't rely on TTHome backup)
