Hi All,

My TT one XL can't connect to satellites

It always says poor GPS reception are you inside a building

When i go to GPS status the blue and yellow ball that spins around don't move

So I updated it with TT home now have App 8.010 GPS v1.21 Boot 5.5022 and UK & IE v715.1689

Also with the update i installed a quick fix satellite but still won't connect to any satellites

Please help

Download the latest fastactivate from post 1:
general-discussions-about-tomtom-f81/fastactivate-latest-update-t14003.html
Connect your XL to your pc.
Put fastactivate onto your XL, and run it.
Then update the GPS (yours is the Globalstar).
When updated, exit fastactivate and disconnect from your pc.
Leave the XL switched on, preferably outside or by a window, and within a couple of minutes it will pick up the satellites.
All done.
Next time you switch on your XL, it will pick up the satellites quickly.

Yes that is my tomtom in the pic but the internal memory is 489 MB

Is that after the maps etc have been loaded?
If so, then it is the 1GB version.
My father-in-law had the same problem as you, so I updated the maps, and activated the maps and speedcams, then updated the GPS.
All works great now.

no, it's not a hardwere problem; it's just navcore problem.

1) Format your device.
2) Put this navcore in your device.

Have you placed the XL for at least a half houre in the open air.

It is well known in TomTom world that getting a usable fix can take an extra amount of time after updating a device. My suggestion has already been posted by a couple of members. Put your booted XL in an open unrestricted area an leave it for 30/45 minutes.

try to put 8.010 and 8.410 maybe it's giving problem only with V9 navcore.

It is impossible to tell if the referenced generic tool in post 1, is the same as the specific tool in post 13!! Hence the post 13 question was asked!!
