I have just bought a TomTom One (ver3) for £5.00 at a car boot sale. (Just the Unit without an SD card).

I have purchased a 1GB SD Card, case, charger, USB Cable and Window mount and the device powered up.

1. I downloaded TOMTOM HOME 2
2. Updated the device (SD CARD) - TOMTOM Application for ONE
3. Restarted the device and it says "No Maps Found"

4. I have 'NO' activation code for the TOMTOM
5. I do not want to pay £40.00 for UK and ROI Map

Does anybody have a simply walk through/step by step guide as to what I do now?

Download United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_915_5106 & FastActivate Latest Update. Unzip the map & copy the unzipped 5106 map folder to the SD card. Also copy FastActivate.exe to the card.
FastActivate needs a device's ttgo.bif file in order to patch a map. A ttgo.bif file is created every time a device is booted. With the SD card in the unit, attempt to boot it. It won't boot, but it should create the ttgo.bif file. Use windows explorer to confirm the file was created. If so, run FastActivate.exe options 2 & 3. Done!! With the SD card in the device, it should boot.
