First off I love the site. I have used a number of tips from the site for customization and backup. Can anyone tell me what maps I need and/or navicore.

I live in the southern US so I don't really need the Canada maps, if this helps.

880.3868 maps are correct for your latest/official 8.010 navcore. your choice on size/countries etc

Some ONE XLs have a card slot & some don't. Does yours have one?

Yes mine has a card slot but I don't have a card in it at the present.

Up your navcore, use a 2GB card, & you can run a much better United States map.

Thanx tendriver, but this was my first gps and I just want to update maps to current to give to my daughter. I also have a XXL 540S and just bought a XXL 550M. The update service on the 540 expired in Sept. and was hoping to some how use maps from 550 to keep 540 up to date. Is that possible?

1. If it was my daughter, I would want her to have the best for safety reasons.
2. Yes, but only if you patch the 540 navcore & the copy of the 550 map to be copied to the 540.

Thanx tendriver for giving me all my options.. I might just give her the 540, not sure.
